The band offers a music plan for weddings that involves any, or all of 3 parts:
1) Of course, after dinner and the formalities, if you are looking to get everyone straight onto the dance-floor then you really need a serious band! This is where the Baker Boys have earned their reputation - playing music for the dance floor!
2) However, earlier in the night, during hors d'ouevres, or the early stages of the reception, you won't want to rock it up too much, and a smaller selection of the musicians can play traditional jazz or chilled unplugged music in the background, to keep the room vibing. This is a really important way to set the mood for the night, without over-doing it - perfect music for sipping cocktails!
3) Earlier still in the day, during the wedding ceremony itself, a small group could play as a classical string quartet, or even a violin and harp duo harp, or both, e.g. before the ceremony, during the processional, and during the signing etc. The combination of Harp and Violin is an incredible sound, and is definitely a unique touch for the perfect wedding ceremony. In addition, a DJ service is provided during dinner to keep the party buzzing during the moments when you don't want live music. Depending on your requirements, any or all of the elements can be removed and configured to your personal taste in music. This is the interesting part - you'll be very pleasantly surprised at how little the Baker Boys charge for a band in this quality bracket. They do not charge extra for weddings - in fact, they believe this to be an unfair business practise. The Baker Boys calculate price depending on how many of them you would like, and how long you would like them to play for - they can organise themselves to suit just about any budget, no matter how simple or grand an event you have planned. They can play with as little as 2 people, or as many as 14 musicians. Since they are self-managed, and they can effectively do the job of many different bands over the course of a day, they are much more price efficient than other bands. They also run all of their own equipment, and are very portable. They pride themselves on providing exceptional value for money. At the end of the day you get full professional quality service, without cutting corners, but also without the high price-tag.
For most events they suggest a recommended budget of around
$1500 to $3500, although many people choose a budget outside these figures.
